Local Programmes
Since 1986, ERS has operated numerous locally funded programmes that target unemployed youth and adults, Employment Insurance recipients, Montreal's Social Assistance recipients, potential or early high school leavers, and those with no financial support system at all.

We have partnered programmes with such government and non-government organizations as Emploi-Québec, Human Resources Development Canada, and Batshaw Youth and Family Centres.

ERS's programmes focus on:
  • Preparing those without prior work experience for entry into the workforce (pre-employment training)
  • Enhancing the skills of those who are currently unemployed to facilitate their entry or re-entry into the workforce (employment training)
ERS has extensive contacts with the Montreal business community, which offer participants valuable training opportunities for on-site work experience.

These work placements/internships provide participants the opportunity to enhance their skills in areas such as human relations, customer service, computers and information technology, clerical fields and business administration.
